About The Position

As a Control Systems Engineering intern, you will report to the Control & Information System Engineering Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

Responsibilities

  • Interpret functional requirements for Instrumentation & Controls Plant Systems
  • Design, document and test l&C Plant Systems used for Nuclear Power Generation Stations applications
  • Develop l&C design specifications to meet functional requirements
  • Implement l&C hardware and software designs to meet design specifications
  • Develop design documents, test plans and procedures to demonstrate that designs meet design specifications and requirements
  • Create and issue Field Change Notices to site to support hardware and software modifications
  • Resolve technical issues that arise during system design, implementation and site commissioning/startup
  • Support manufacturing operations to facilitate procurement, manufacturing process, testing and integration of l&C Plant Systems during Software In-Loop and Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Support field operations during site commissioning and startup activities
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates to support subject matter experts
