About The Position

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. KBR is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to supervise and lead a group of engineers. You will provide technical direction over a group and is responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals. Also, you will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to instrumentation and control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, valves, etc. May be responsible to assist with control philosophy and/or functional descriptions Direct the work and mentor other control systems engineers and designers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Control Systems or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 - 15+ years control systems or electrical engineering experience related to the specification and purchase of chemical and refinery instrumentation and control systems equipment.
  • Complete understanding of instrumentation and control system design.
  • Experience with development of project scope, work hour estimates, project budgets, schedules and all control systems construction deliverables.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer preferred.
