About The Position

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our Southeast team. Office locations for this position are | Jacksonville, FL | Maitland, FL | Tampa, FL|

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of directly related engineering work experience required
  • Possesses excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Proactively connects with other disciplines to produce a fully coordinated project
  • Uses effective time management and detail-orientation skills
  • Works efficiently and independently on multiple projects while meeting budgets and schedules
  • EIT Certification required
  • BS Degree in related Engineering field of study
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite + Bluebeam required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the Water/Wastewater industry strongly preferred
  • Experience also using Revit or AutoCAD preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Control System Engineer (CSE) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, programming review, design of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for Water/Wastewater treatment facilities
  • Development of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Select instruments necessary for equipment automation, and select appropriate instrument technology
  • Control system startup, testing, troubleshooting, process optimization; design control system network architectures and interfaces
  • Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) control narratives
  • Outline SCADA requirements and functionality
  • Develop conceptual and preliminary studies and reports
  • Prepare specifications for bidding and construction
  • Review contractor plans and shop submittals
  • Conduct field visits to review contractor's work and gain resolution of field-related problems
