About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to evaluate existing systems and participate in the design of plant control and instrumentation systems for a range of industrial applications. This role involves developing deliverables for industrial, power generation, water/wastewater, and federal projects.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States for any length of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Experience in PLC programming and working knowledge of SCADA and control systems.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for project installation and commissioning support across the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing systems and participate in the design of plant control and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop plant control systems design utilizing both Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Create P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, cable schedules, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prepare procurement specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations.
  • Provide construction support and develop proposal documents, including scope of work and fee estimating.
  • Prepare reports and determine code requirements.
  • Manage design budgets and schedules.
  • Perform project field site visits as required.
  • Recommend department plans, programs, resources, and oversee staff budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent within the organization.
  • Support designated team members in identifying career development objectives and conducting performance reviews.
  • Oversee department staff to ensure adherence to execution standards, procedures, and policies.
