The Control Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, and commissioning of automated control systems tailored to diverse manufacturing applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to contribute to the design and development of integrated labeling systems. The engineer will analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to identify project requirements and constraints, develop comprehensive RFQs and functional specifications for equipment and systems procured for our partners, and oversee the commissioning, start-up, and acceptance testing of complete systems at customer facilities. The engineer will ensure all components function optimally and meet project objectives, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting as needed. Additionally, the role includes the setup of bar code scanners, vision systems, stepper and servo drives, and other intelligent devices.

  • Lead the design, development, and commissioning of automated control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated labeling systems.
  • Analyze RFQs and RFPs to identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Develop comprehensive RFQs and functional specifications for equipment and systems.
  • Oversee commissioning, start-up, and acceptance testing of complete systems.
  • Ensure all components function optimally and meet project objectives.
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Setup of bar code scanners, vision systems, stepper and servo drives, and other intelligent devices.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems design, development, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLC), human-machine interfaces (HMI), control networks, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations with knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with process control instrumentation, stepper & servo motors, and machine vision systems.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD and AutoCAD.
