About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to oversee computer-based systems for a local manufacturer specializing in bio-based energy products. Excellent opportunity for an individual with extensive manufacturing experience and strong leadership skills. Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Mon-Thurs.; $25.00-$27.00/hr. base rate with $1.00/hr. night shift differential. The Control Room Operator plays a critical role in keeping plant operations running smoothly by monitoring and managing computer-controlled production systems. Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to make quick, informed decisions to support safe and efficient operations. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential, as this role involves coordinating team members and leading production efforts when senior management is not available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • At least 2-3 years' control room experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including climbing to elevated areas and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior management or team-leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on a forklift or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer-controlled plant dryer systems and production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control-related issues in coordination with plant management.
  • Develop, maintain, and organize operational records for internal use and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment or maintenance needs.
  • Support the installation, start-up, and maintenance of new plant equipment.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to plant personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient facility operations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Train additional plant personnel in control room operations as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
