About The Position

The Control Room Operator at Pilot Water Solutions will execute safe and efficient remote monitoring and operational control of saltwater disposal facilities and pipelines. This role is responsible for upholding commitment to operation excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship. This position is located in Midland, TX and reports to the Control Room Supervisor. Pilot Water Solutions (“PWS”) is the most reliable name in water midstream. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent such as a GED
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • At least 1 year in a control room setting.
  • At least 1 year of oil and gas experience.
  • Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and driving record within good standing.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to safety.
  • Work a minimum 12-hour rotating shift that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SCADA systems.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • 2+ years in a pipeline controller position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors multiple facilities and pipelines from the control center utilizing SCADA information.
  • Participates in planning, scheduling, and implementing facility operations.
  • Performs remote operations to facilities and pipelines, monitoring product flows and pressures, starting and shutting down pumps, opening and closing valves and setting flow rates.
  • Works closely with various departments to execute schedules and operational plans safely and efficiently.
  • Monitors performance against targets and addresses areas of improvement.
  • Recognizes emergency conditions, works calmly and efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Communicates effectively with field operators to provide troubleshooting support and maintenance.
  • Prepares operational reports and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Follows protocols and regulations accurately.
  • Perform onsite field support as needed.
