About The Position

The Control Room Operator at Holcim US is responsible for monitoring and managing the operations of systems and equipment in the cement production process. This role ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards while maintaining optimal production rates. The operator will work in a dynamic environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to respond to equipment malfunctions and operational challenges.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a cement operation required.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications required.
• Good math and logic skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations of systems, processes, tests, and production rates.
• Ensure kiln and mill operations comply with MSHA and company safety standards.
• Maintain environmental compliance during kiln and mill operations.
• Monitor laboratory test results and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Manipulate controls to maintain optimum production rates and prevent equipment damage.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and report them to supervisors.
• Maintain records and prepare reports according to established procedures.
• Work to keep operational costs in line with the plant budget and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work overtime and rotating shift schedules.
