About The Position

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under general supervision, this position will: Monitor and control Water systems to ensure that all water activity is running at planned and normal operating conditions to support Completions efforts. Analyze data trends to anticipate abnormal conditions and identify problems or areas of concern for maintenance. Assist in the planning and coordination of outages and scheduled maintenance with the maintenance staff. Coordinate with third party water transfer contractors to ensure personnel and equipment are properly deployed in support of Operations. Identify and troubleshoot equipment failures and upset conditions and communicate issues to Water Field Operations staff and Engineering. Act as the point of contact for the Water Field Operators, Completions and Well Site Managers in the field for questions, concerns and to receive updates and information on activities. Communicate with I&E (Instrumentation & Electrical) Department to troubleshoot real-time SCADA or equipment issues. Read and understand technical drawings and other related documents such as blueprints, isometrics, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics and technical procedures to effectively operate the system. Prepare and analyze various reports to the Company’s Water Operations group to verify and document flows, pressures, water volumes and other required parameters. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of working in a control room, dispatch setting or other closely related field experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, etc. and use/operation of standard office equipment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of water pipeline operations including fluid dynamics, hydraulics, pumps, transportation and storage methods.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SCADA systems, preferably VTScada, Rockwell, Wonderware, Elynx or Cygnet applications.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate telemetry and hydro-mechanical equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to multi-task duties on a daily basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Good analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter and able to be responsible, accountable and confident of work delivered.
  • Proven capability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and foster/encourage teamwork.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, growth and direction.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
