About The Position

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under general supervision, this position will: Act as the central point field contact between Production, Midstream, third-party providers, and Marketing in order to promote better communications, decision making, and teamwork. Communicate scheduled and unscheduled well downtime. Conduct lost and unaccounted for (LAUF) volume analysis throughout the system on a spot basis to verify system performance, diagnose issues, and advise correction. Monitor gathering, compression, and processing performance to ensure efficiency expectations are being met. Identify and advise field personnel on corrective actions. Utilize software and Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to analyze data trends to anticipate abnormal conditions, systemic deficiencies, verify all safety-related points, identify root cause and common cause, and correct any deviations on the Midstream gathering and compression system. Work with the Marketing team and downstream pipelines to ensure nominations are correct and communicate any unplanned shortages or outages that may impede deliveries. Develop, update, and communicate planned maintenance and outage schedules and associated downtime. Optimize the Gathering and Compression system during outages to meet business expectations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of working in a control room, dispatch setting or other closely related field experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word, etc., and use/operation of standard office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline operations, including fluid dynamics, hydraulics, pumps, transportation, and storage methods.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems, preferably VTScada, Rockwell, Wonderware, Elynx, Ignition or Cygnet applications.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate telemetry and hydro-mechanical equipment.
  • Proven ability to multitask duties on a daily basis. Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter and able to be responsible, accountable, and confident in work delivered.
  • Assist with tracking department metrics and using the data to create useful information for operational personnel.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
