About The Position

The Control Room Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production process. This role involves monitoring and managing the control room operations to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production processes. Hours: M-F 2:30pm-11pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a control room or production environment, preferably within the food processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software related to production control.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Continuously (6-8 hrs.): sit for long periods of time, fine motor skills with both hands (keyboarding)
  • Frequently (3-6 hrs.): stand/walk
  • Occasionally (1-3 hrs.): bend/stoop, reach above shoulder, grasp, exposure to dust and fumes, working around moving machinery and in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity
  • Lift/Carry, Push/Pull: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.)
  • Ability to hear spoken instructions in order to carry out direction

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the production processes in the control room, ensuring adherence to operational standards and production schedules.
  • Utilize control systems to oversee the flow of production, adjusting parameters to optimize efficiency and product quality.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and continuous production operations.
  • Analyze production data and reports to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, production deviations, or equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, control room operations, and any incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Train and mentor control room operators, ensuring they are knowledgeable and proficient in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Timely dispatch of FSQA, Maintenance or other Management personnel as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and control systems.
  • Communicate effectively with the production management team and other key stakeholders regarding production status and any concerns.
