About The Position

The Control Room/Board Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, utilizing process control software, and managing emergency situations. The operator works in a control room environment, performing various tasks to maintain production standards and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year degree in Process Technology preferred.
  • Previous experience as a control room/board operator required.
  • Experience with DCS screens and troubleshooting operational issues preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • General computer proficiency, including Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating refrigeration, pumping, and conveyor systems.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to advance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain plant equipment in a control room setting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to ensure safe operations.
  • Utilize SCADA and PLC systems for process control and automation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Compile and record operating data and laboratory results.
  • Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow rates according to process schedules.
  • Analyze data to control continuous operation of nitrogen processing units.
  • Inspect equipment for malfunctions and report issues to supervisors.
  • Coordinate and regulate process variables to direct product flow.
  • Calibrate and operate multiple analyzers.
