About The Position

Exciting opportunity for law students to gain valuable in-house legal experience at a large software and SaaS company. The Legal Associates will work with a team of 4 – 6 legal associates, as well as directly with Vertafore’s Chief Legal Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel, and Senior Paralegal. The primary focus of the Legal Associate will be to review various types of legal contracts in connection with Vertafore’s implementation of a new state-of-the-art contract management system.

Requirements

• Must have strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in software and technology and the workings of an in-house legal team.
• Must be a current law student or a recent graduate of an accredited law school
• Must sign an NDA and agree to all company policies and procedures prior to start date.
• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
• Frequent sitting and/or standing.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in contracts and experience in a corporate setting are beneficial, although not required.
