Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join the Central Sourcing team based at the NGM Warehouse in Elko, Nevada. This role is responsible for leading the sourcing and contracting lifecycle for assigned service categories and site departments, supporting safe and efficient operational delivery across the business. The Contracts Specialist manages sourcing events, supports contract negotiations, administers contract documentation, and ensures contractor compliance with commercial, safety, and organizational requirements. Working closely with Technical Representatives, EH&S Specialists, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, this role helps mitigate commercial risk, ensure governance compliance, and contribute to value creation across the supply chain. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of directly related contracting & procurement experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in the development of RFQ’s and RFP’s
  • Experience in negotiations related to contractual conflict resolution.
  • Experience with Ariba sourcing and contract management or similar systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • SAP / ERP Certification / CIPS / CPM / CPSM preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing activities for assigned service categories or departments, including preparing bid documents, managing RFP processes, and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Work with Technical Representatives and EH&S to develop bid packages and ensure technical, safety, and commercial requirements are clearly defined.
  • Review contractor qualifications, certifications, and compliance documentation to ensure vendors meet company requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations and recommend contract awards based on commercial and technical evaluations.
  • Manage contract documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), scope updates, and contract amendments.
  • Facilitate contract kick-off meetings to align stakeholders on scope, timelines, safety expectations, and deliverables.
  • Create and manage contract workspaces in Ariba and maintain contract documentation within SAP.
  • Process service-related purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
  • Manage the purchase order lifecycle, including issuing POs, coordinating approvals, communicating with vendors, and ensuring timely closeout.
  • Review invoices as needed to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate contract close-out activities and contractor performance reviews with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractor demobilization and vendor offboarding activities are completed appropriately.
  • Monitor contract timelines and coordinate renewals or extensions as required.
  • Support supplier performance management and coordinate supplier review meetings.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to ensure supplier lead times and service requirements are accurately captured.
  • Resolve procurement or contract issues and support continuous improvement of sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Assist with implementation and management of outline agreements and ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
