We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Specialist to join our team and support the full lifecycle of our contractual operations. In this position, you will draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of agreements, while serving as a trusted resource across the organization. Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in contracts administration, procurement, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contract types, including software license agreements, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex contract terms, obligations, and risks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with the ability to independently prioritize.
  • Strong research skills and willingness to become an industry expert.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Political Science, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working within a technology company or technology-driven industry is highly preferred.
  • Higher Ed contracting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including SOWs, MSAs, solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs), amendments, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine proposal responses, ensuring compliance with client requirements and enhancing competitive positioning.
  • Oversee trademark and certification applications and renewals.
  • Update and enhance contract tracking systems and databases, ensuring real-time accuracy, transparency, and accessibility for stakeholders.
  • Analyze and summarize complex contract terms, obligations, and risks for leadership and operational teams to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of contract records, aligning with legal and regulatory requirements as well as company policy.
  • Serve as a liaison in resolving contract-related disputes, negotiating directly with external stakeholders when appropriate to safeguard company interests.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the contracts function.
