About The Position

Under the leadership of the Director of Payor & Corporate Contracting, the Contracts Specialist shall work collaboratively with all department staff, and take the daily lead from the Senior Contracts Manager to provide support to meet Montage Health’s enterprise-wide contracting needs. Primary tasks of this role include document preparation/finalization; processing of documents for signature; tracking and maintaining enterprise-wide licenses; the processing of letters of agreement; and administration and maintenance of the centralized contracting database, TractManager (MediTract). The Contracts Specialist will also be requested to support with various aspects of physician and medical director agreement maintenance; provide general administrative tasks; assist with enterprise-wide contract support and legal research; and assist with regulatory and insurance filings and updates. Additionally, the Contracts Specialist may be asked to assist with special projects, enterprise licensing, and credentialing, and other tasks as needed to support departmental and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • At least two years of health care experience
  • Knowledgeable in contract and contract amendment structure and format
  • Ability to read, extract relevant information from and interpret different contract documents
  • Demonstrated knowledge and capabilities of using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong administrative management skills
  • Strong analytical skills to assist with the analysis and impact of contract proposals and negotiations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time/project management capabilities
  • Experience working with state and federal agencies such as CDPH, DHCS and CMS/Noridian is a plus
