About the position

As a contract professional supporting the legal department within the Data & Analytics division of LSEG, you will primarily be responsible for drafting, negotiating and coordinating/administering sales and sales-related agreements, including large master agreements with customers, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements and software licenses. You will report to the legal department and respond directly to customer's comments and negotiate with customers, including the customer's legal department. Responsibilities include facilitating review and proper approval for legal terms, as well as working with sales, finance, commercial strategy, and product on contract terms which affect the deal. These responsibilities will require extensive interaction and coordination with the external customer, and the sales, finance, product, and legal departments of LSEG.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate and coordinate/administer sales and sales-related agreements.
  • Facilitate review and proper approval for legal terms.
  • Work with sales, finance, commercial strategy, and product on contract terms.
  • Respond to customer's comments and negotiate with customers, including their legal department.
  • Interact and coordinate with external customers and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in interpreting and drafting contracts.
  • Experience negotiating sales agreements, support agreements, license agreements and Master Agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to positively influence behavior of multiple collaborators.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and resolve legal issues.
  • Knowledge of LSEG products, services and organizational structure.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Highly developed organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with technology or licensing agreements.
  • Training or education in business and/or corporate law, negotiation, legal writing.
  • Experience working with financial and technology firms.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Experience working on projects involving multiple collaborators and/or subject matter experts.
