Lockheed Martin National Space Systems is seeking an Associate Contracts Negotiator to join our Space Operations Analytics team of Contracts Professionals. The Contracts profession provides business advice and guidance to other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. They also serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. They coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance. They ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. They lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. They ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Additionally, they may plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company, collect contractual data and file reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests. The successful candidate will need to be located in either Herndon, VA or Denver, CO. This position requires full-time, on site presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have a TS clearance.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check.

  • SCI eligible and ability to pass a polygraph exam.
  • Experience collaboratively interfacing with diverse disciplines such as Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Property, or Business Development.
  • Knowledge of and experience with acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR).

Responsibilities
