The Contracts Negotiation Manager leads LM Aero Advance Development Programs Contracts personnel in the preparation, negotiation, administration, execution of classified USG commercial, international prime contracts including the development of unique contract language, Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs). Assists with development of complex business capture strategies including offset arrangements. Manages proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and customer contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Provides LM Aero Management with sound contractual advice regarding potential business opportunities. Communicates and negotiates with persons inside and outside the Corporation involving explanation and interpretation of information, positions, policies and ideas, to include senior level management personnel of USG, foreign governments, and industry. Exerts influence in development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain frequent contact and favorable relationships with all levels of personnel within LM Aero, as well as industry peers and customer representatives. Must have knowledge of FAR, DFARS, acquisition policies, foreign and commercial sales, contract formation principles, and standard contract types. This position may involve travel to customer locations and will involve travel to other LM Aero locations. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An advanced degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement.
