About The Position

The Contract Manager reviews all School of Medicine contractual agreements and other legal documents flowing through the OPSCA. This position reviews contracts for completeness, and analyzes contract language to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with School of Medicine, University, state, and federal policies and regulations. Consults with departments and/or leadership, and ensures that department administrators have an understanding of operational obligations; and drafts, negotiates, and finalizes agreements in accordance with law and policy within approved parameters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with a broad range of agreement types, contract principals, and law and regulations.
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and provide consultation, expertise, and to develop and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written communication ability, with strong attention paid to spelling and grammar.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
