Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of related contracts management experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Prior responsibility for managing and administering large scale, complex construction portfolios.
  • BS in law, business, engineering or equivalent related work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex contracts.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve complex issues under demanding schedule constraints.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize value in the development, construction, and transition to operations project phases by supporting all contracting activities for large-scale, complex construction projects.
  • Draft and review terms and conditions, prepare and track exhibits and appendices, monitor contract compliance, and manage contract changes and claims.
  • Develop contracts management processes, procedures, and best practices for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) team.
  • Support drafting and execution of EPC Agreements, equipment supply agreements, master services agreements, task orders, and non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements.
  • Prepare requests for proposal and analyze contractor selections.
  • Interface with legal, preconstruction, project management, project controls, technical, and finance personnel.
  • Monitor contract compliance and coordinate with internal stakeholders on compliance obligations.
  • Prepare and track formal contract-related correspondence to contractors.
  • Provide advice and guidance on contract terms, owner obligations, and claims avoidance.
  • Facilitate process improvement for contract management and compliance.
  • Support management of claims and change orders during the construction execution phase.
  • Work with project management teams to develop mitigation strategies for scope changes or claims.
  • Enter contractual documents into contracts management software (inEight) and maintain contractual documents.
