About The Position

Responsibilities: Provides excellent business partnering to Division on contractual matters and transfers confidence to other members of Contracts, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain. Performs and/or oversees "cradle to grave" contract management activities, including providing sound advice on proposal preparation and contract risk mitigation. Administers contracts and related auxiliary agreements. Represents the Company independently or as team leader on complex, high-risk and/or large-scale customer and supply chain transactions. Contributes expertise to proposal and contract strategy meetings to identify issues and customer requirements. Prepares and presents analyses of completed bid/proposal packages, including recommendations to management for negotiation strategies. Proactively identifies and resolves problems related to contract changes and compliance with schedules, specifications, and other obligations. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and recommendations to mitigate contractual/program risks. Fosters and maintains a sound and reliable relationship with counterparts in internal (especially Program Management and Finance) and external customer organizations. Participates in and, when requested, leads special projects or improvement initiatives as designated by management. Performs other duties and responsibilities related to contracting, as required. Qualifications MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree 8 plus years’ experience in government and commercial contracting i.e. defense contractor Ability to manage time and competing priorities, including handling and managing several assignments concurrently. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and documentation databases. Salesforce preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET level security clearance. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). PREFERRED: Master's degree and/or additional contracts management experience. Experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR, DFARS, and risk mitigation strategies. Established track record of successful 'cradle to grave' contracts management, including advising on complex proposals, negotiating terms, and managing contract changes. Demonstrated ability to achieve positive results through influence, negotiation and change management. Proven ability to develop sound relationships with internal and external customer organizations. Effective communicator both orally and in writing. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Salary Range: $120,400 - $180,600 Annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Requirements
