About The Position

The Auburn University College of Agriculture is seeking a Contracts and Grants Specialist to provide essential administrative support for internal and external grants, extramural projects, and compliance with A-21 cost accounting standards. This role is pivotal in advising faculty and administration on procedures, ensuring timely and accurate contract and grant documentation, and serving as a liaison between departmental and central offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for the pre-award grant activities, including the submission of proposals and compliance with university and sponsor guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, the Contracts and Grants Specialist will promote and coordinate grant opportunities, workshops, and training sessions for faculty, ensuring that they are well-informed and equipped to pursue funding opportunities. Providing excellent customer service to faculty, staff, administration, and sponsors regarding pre-award activities is a key aspect of this role. The specialist will also be tasked with maintaining data for funded projects, preparing periodic contract and grant reports, and supporting the Associate Dean for Research in delivering grantsmanship and research-related training to faculty, staff, and students.
