The Contracts & Grants Coordinator at East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) is responsible for managing and overseeing grant applications, budgets, and contracts related to grant-funded projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to ensure compliance with state and federal grant requirements while effectively communicating with various stakeholders.

  • Preparing and reviewing grant applications.
  • Preparing and maintaining line-item grant budgets.
  • Preparing and monitoring consultant and vendor contracts and sub-award agreements for grant-funded projects.
  • Preparing required reports such as progress reports and inventory reports.
  • Conducting reviews of consultants, vendors, and sub-recipients to ensure compliance with contract or sub-award terms.
  • Conducting procurement activities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in contracts and grants management.
  • Familiarity with current state and federal grant requirements, including the Omni Circular (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of contract and grant accounting procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Prior legal experience is a plus.
  • J.D. degree is preferred.
  • Advanced degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
