About The Position

The Contracts/Funds Administrator will demonstrate a commitment to providing continuous quality service while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of our citizens and employees.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience
A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Draft RFQs and RFPs to advertise and disseminate to potential vendors.
Draft contracts and contract amendments in consultation with the Legal Department.
Prepare project budgets and work with departments to prevent budget over-runs.
Prepare advanced funding agreements for the department.
Prepare and execute consultant contracts and amendments to consultant contracts as needed.
Prepare interlocal agreements with organizations such TxDot, RTA, Nueces County, etc.
Ensure correct proration of contact funds between various City departments involved in a project as well as State and local government partners.
Prepare agenda items for Council meetings.
Negotiate contracts to finalize the recommendation of award
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
