About The Position

This role serves all participants, any member of the LifeROOTS Team, board members, all vendors, suppliers, and any other members of the public. Under close supervision, the Custodian Floater/Finisher performs routine custodial activities as assigned. The position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform its functions and typically does not require exercising independent judgment.

Requirements

  • Fingerprints, background check, and drug screen
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain current auto insurance
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel and be able to travel between assigned locations during the workday with minimal notice
  • Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to self or others

Responsibilities

  • Vacuuming floors
  • Sweeping and wet mopping floors
  • Cleaning commodes, sinks, and urinals
  • Moving furniture
  • Cleaning walk-off mats
  • Removing trash
  • Low dusting
  • Cleaning glass
  • Cleaning drinking fountains
  • Spot cleaning
  • Re-supplying the restrooms
  • Operating custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, small hand and power tools, buffer/scrubber machines and other equipment as assigned
  • Reporting safety, sanitary and fire hazards to Project Manager
  • Performing scheduled tasks in a safe manner and adhering to LifeROOTS, Inc. safety policies
  • Complying with all applicable LifeROOTS policies and procedures
  • Participating in the company’s quality improvement program and ensuring that all department-applicable quality improvement requirements are fulfilled
  • Participating in the company’s financial management and ensuring that all department-applicable fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Participating in the company’s Health and Safety program and ensuring that all department-applicable Health and Safety responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Traveling to multiple locations, as needed, to provide additional coverage and finishing work
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager
