Position Purpose: Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts and Compliance Manager to support our legal, compliance, and operational functions. This role is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, advising human resources and leadership on employment-related matters, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and maintaining critical legal documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in contract administration, compliance, and employment practices, along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the organization meets its legal and regulatory obligations efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or contracts-related role, preferably within a corporate environment
  • Working knowledge of contract law and compliance practices
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial service businesses, preferably in cleaning or janitorial, construction or property management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including human resources, finance and operations
  • Broad experience in employment law.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the contract review, drafting, and negotiation process in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed
  • Develop and implement standardized checklists and processes to streamline contract review and execution
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all contracts
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of contract terms, key dates, and obligations
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and proactively initiate renewal processes based on account size and strategic importance
  • Identify and communicate risks or issues ahead of contract renewals
  • Track vendor agreements and support negotiations to secure favorable terms
  • Lead initiatives to centralize all active contracts into a single repository within the company’s ERP system
  • Maintain and track all outstanding and resolved legal matters for reporting to leadership and external counsel
  • Serve as the primary liaison with outside counsel on litigation and legal matters
  • Partner with internal compliance teams to support policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Maintain customer pre-qualification documentation and ensure readiness for audits or bid requirements
  • Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs), ensuring compliance with customer and contractual obligations
  • Oversee business license registrations and renewals across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage additional licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements as needed
