Our team in Space & Defense Group is looking for an intelligent, engaged, and personable candidate to join us as a Contracts Administrator. You will report to the Director, Space Contracts and will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

Requirements

  • Typically, a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Legal, or other relevant area.
  • 2+ years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts or a similar, customer facing role, supporting contract review or execution.
  • Ability to assess the impact that contract provisions will have on program execution.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid business acumen, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance as the position increases in responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other agency regulations.
  • Drafting Commercial Product Justifications and engaging with the DCMA-CIG.
  • Compliance matters including TINA, Cost Accounting Standards, Berry Amendment, etc.
  • Commercial contracts and contract law.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate professional relationships with customers to further Moog business objectives.
  • Negotiate favorable but fair terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the development of competitive and sole source proposals.
  • Advise Program Management and other internal stakeholders on contract and regulatory matters.
  • Analyze draft agreements with appropriate Moog disciplines to ensure that obligations accurately reflect Moog's proposal and/or negotiated agreement.
  • Review and synthesize terms, conditions, and other obligations for internal customers.
  • Support business travel, up to 10%.
