About The Position

The position involves drafting, negotiating, administering, and managing contracts, ensuring that terms align with business objectives and stakeholder needs. The role is active throughout the contract lifecycle, from planning requirements to fulfilling obligations, while addressing issues and risks as necessary. The individual will apply and maintain a current understanding of Qualcomm policies, positions, and operations, as well as legal guidelines related to contracts administration and/or management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 2+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 4+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • OR High School diploma or equivalent in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate (including Juris Doctorate) degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Contract Administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and administers contracts and amendments based on understanding of contracts administration procedures, structure, and guidelines; helps senior team members negotiate contracts.
  • Manages contracts and follows up on execution according to terms with limited guidance.
  • Researches, analyzes, and interprets contracts to share insights and support the team with limited guidance based on knowledge of contract and legal principles.
  • Understands and helps communicate Qualcomm's policies and positions related to contracts with internal parties.
  • Analyzes and responds to requests for information in a timely manner, ensuring information is accurate.
  • Communicates with internal and some external stakeholders to understand needs and share updates.
  • Learns new processes and approaches to accomplish work and recognizes ways to improve existing ones.
  • Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Solicits and follows guidance to make sound, ethical, and timely decisions.
