About The Position

Redwire Space Enterprises, Inc. - Goleta is accelerating humanity's expansion into space as the leading developer and provider of satellite mechanisms, deployable structures and booms, and deployable solar array systems to the global space market. We have a current opportunity for a Contractor - Facilities Maintenance Technician for up to 6 months to join our team in Goleta, CA. The Temporary - Facilities Maintenance Technician works directly with the Production Supervisors to support the upkeep and general maintenance of four manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

• General indoor and outdoor cleaning experience
• Intermediate computer skills
• Experience with hand tools such as skill saws, table saws, jig saws
• Ability to read and follow assembly directions
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Valid driver's license
• 0-2 years of entry-level or office store type work experience
• Must have a valid CDL license
• US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs in a two-person lift

Nice To Haves

• Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to fill out and maintain maintenance and work performed records
• 2-5 years' experience in a facilities or similar setting
• A growth mindset

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities to local standards
• Work with Supervisor to create ongoing maintenance and preventative maintenance plans
• Work with production teams to ensure large equipment such as forklifts are in good working order
• Keep all facilities areas neat and clean, including basic outdoor and indoor maintenance
• Transport tools and equipment from building to building as directed by supervisor
• Manage facilities inventory and monitor equipment calibration or maintenance needs
• Support office manager as needed
• Perform other facilities work as directed by supervisor
