Position Summary: The Contractor, Employee Pilot Build Assembly & Laboratory Technician supports prototype and pilot builds and validation testing for next-generation EV charging equipment. The role assembles mechanical/electrical subassemblies and test hardware, documents test activities and defects, and helps maintain lab/build quality standards and work instructions. Duration : 9 months

Requirements

  • Shall have Prototype Developmental Build Experience
  • Shall have 5S Organizational Experience
  • Shall have an expert understanding of tools, and fabrication devices
  • Understanding of assembly best practices
  • Able to lift 50lbs unassisted
  • Self-starter, have a strong ability to deal with ambiguity and establish priorities, and proceed with objectives
  • Should have manufacturing build line experience

Responsibilities

  • Work in a highly cross functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain build quality standards and ensure best practices are followed in all build activities.
  • Maintain all lab equipment and provide a professional working environment on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on writing build procedures and work instructions for various mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Participate in tear downs and document issues and defects into reports utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc.
  • Develop and fabricate mechanical fixtures or jigs for test stages.
  • Build high voltage electrical test boxes and harnesses to support testing.
  • Execute tests utilizing high voltage electrical test equipment .
  • Support validation test & builds for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products.
