Role Description : Arcadis is currently seeking a Contract Specialist to support our team with TDOT project work. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of contract administration duties, including managing one or more trade contracts and ensuring that all deliverables align with the contract schedule.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of contract administration experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or other related experience
  • Knowledge and ability to quickly understand administration of professional services and/or construction contracts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of professional services and/or construction contracts from RFP thru closeout
  • Determine change order merit, evaluating and estimating level of effort for hours and costs, negotiating with the contractor and writing up Findings of Facts and Records of Negotiation.
  • Draft documents to support the change order dispute resolution process up through and including arbitration.
  • Investigates and drafts finding of fact documents based on the terms and conditions of the Contract agreement.
  • Ability to understand the Design Build delivery method being used, and coordinate responses based on the Contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensures maintenance of complete contract files.
  • Makes recommendations to management and client management on contract issues with major schedule and quality impact.
  • Responsible for data entry of subcontractor, vendor and billings information.
  • Participates in project reviews and risk reviews.
  • Provides proposal development support.
  • Evaluates customer solicitations to ensure that the contract requirements are adequately defined and documented and that the capacity to meet the contract requirements are met.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients.
  • Lead a team in the analysis or preparation of complex construction claims, being responsible for the deliverables to the client, whether it be a report, presentation or expert testimony.
  • Interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.

  • The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
