About The Position
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Contracting & Procurement Division, Seattle, WA. The role of this position is to serve as a non-supervisory Team Lead Contract Specialist responsible for contracts involving diverse areas such as ship repair, maintenance and alteration; state-of-the-art ship's systems and subsystems, ship electronic systems, naval architecture/engineering, and specialized technical representative services relating to boat maintenance and boat product line supply production items. Typical work assignments include identifying and clarifying the supplies and/or services to be acquired, developing procurement objectives and methodology, procurement planning, preparing and reviewing justifications, source selection, serving as a warranted contracting officer, performing contract administration, and providing advice and counsel to the team on contractual matters.
