About The Position

The Contract Specialist for Supply Chain Operations at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center will manage contract coordination under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain. This role involves investigating alternatives, reviewing cost-effectiveness, and negotiating with vendors to ensure favorable terms and compliance with UHS policies. The position is critical in establishing a robust system of care for the community by ensuring that the hospital's supply chain operations are efficient and effective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 6 years in a healthcare contracting environment.
• 3-5 years of sourcing and contracting experience.
• Certification in a relevant field in healthcare or contracting is recommended.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Demonstrated contract and financial analysis experience.
• Broad knowledge of relevant contracting initiatives and programs.
• Strong teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a teaching hospital environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare supply chain management.
