About The Position

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Contract Specialist. This is a hybrid position located in Rolla, MO. Summary: The Contract Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting and reviewing to negotiating and finalizing agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners. Responsibilities scale from coordinating and reviewing standard agreements to independently managing complex negotiations, advising on legal and regulatory risk, and shaping contracting strategy. This role ensures contracts reflect business needs, comply with legal standards, and protect the company’s interests in a highly technical and regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Juris doctorate from an accredited law school and 6+ years related experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Independently review and redline contracts such as purchase agreements, supply contracts, and logistics/service provider agreements
  • Analyze and summarize legal implications of customer-provided terms including performance guarantees, return policies, or payment timelines
  • Identify and escalate non-standard terms involving limitations of liability, extended warranties, or indemnity clauses
  • Proactively gather and consolidate inputs from internal stakeholders and others to support contract alignment
  • Contribute to the refinement of legal templates and fallback positions for warranty terms, service levels, and liability allocation
  • Streamline and update legal agreements processes and systems
  • Lead redline and negotiation efforts on strategic agreements, often with global customers or vendors
  • Provide guidance to internal teams regarding contractual obligations tied to guarantees, penalties, warranty enforcement, or export control clauses
  • Respond directly to customer-provided agreements, coordinating with internal stakeholders to negotiate mutually acceptable terms
  • Independently create legal templates and fallback positions for warranty terms, service levels, and liability allocation
  • Train internal stakeholders on legal risk mitigation and contract basics
  • Own the full contract review lifecycle, reporting findings to senior legal leadership
