About The Position

The Solar Landscaping and Maintenance Technician at Origis Energy is responsible for the daily vegetation management of large solar farms. This role may also involve training as a Solar Technician, contributing to the maintenance and operational efficiency of solar energy facilities. The position emphasizes safety and requires a solid understanding of landscaping machinery and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including kneel, crawl, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions (heat/cold uneven terrain)
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands to dexterously maneuver small parts such as wires, screws, and various components within mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the vegetation control at Solar Power Plant
  • Solid understanding of working tractors and associated landscaping machinery
  • Knowledgeable of maintenance requirements and capable of maintaining the equipment
  • Responsible for documentation including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
  • Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Maintain high quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials
  • Employment may require working on weekends and holidays
