About The Position

Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a CONTRACT REIMBURSEMENT ANALYST to join our REVENUE CYCLE team! The Contract Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for providing payor reimbursement analysis, claim reimbursement modeling, and contract rate recommendations for payor contract negotiations. This position serves as a subject matter expert in various methods of reimbursement and provides accurate and timely financial analysis as required for well-informed decision-making regarding payor contract negotiations. This position collaborates with revenue cycle leadership and operations, finance, Aspirus Network, and Aspirus Network Members to gain understanding of operational impacts to analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or data analytics.
  • Three to five years of experience in contract data and financial analytics with expertise in healthcare reimbursement.
  • Experience with complex systems, preferably Epic Contract Modeling.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data volumes.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Good presentation skills for analysis work products.
  • Experience with electronic medical record billing systems, knowledge of EPIC preferred.
  • High level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Understanding of general business concepts and regulatory environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in health administration, Business Administration or Data Analytics.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle practices and multiple reimbursement systems.
