About The Position

Contract Program Security Officer The Opportunity: Manage classified contract programs and oversight of the day-to-day operations of a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). Provide support in clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled areas associated with special access programs. Conduct highly sensitive security briefings. Coordinate all security education programs. Act as a primary liaison with upper management and outside agencies. Manage a staff of security professionals in the performance of their duties and their career growth and development. Interact with internal and external clients or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine personnel security matters with employees regarding issues, report preparation, program security access briefings, and other duties, as required.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), or in a security role managing security operations
  • Experience with managing security requirements for SCI and SAP programs
  • Knowledge of document control, physical security, or security education and training
  • Ability to provide leadership, work with a varied team and upper management, and ensure compliance with security directives
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate’s degree

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Directives
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives
  • Knowledge of SCIF and SAPF processes and procedures
  • Ability to display a flexible, self‑driven outlook while adapting to evolving priorities
  • Ability to serve as a career manager and manage staff time and work assignments
  • Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities course
