Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (4) four years of experience in contract negotiation in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • OR Juris Degree, JD and (1) one year of contract negotiation in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities

  • Leading contract negotiations with customers and supplier (and their legal counsel when necessary), and independently making decisions on behalf of Solventum that impact contractual terms.
  • Identifying and quantifying legal risks on less complex matters and crafting options or alternatives to appropriately balance risk and business objectives. For more complex or significant matters, you will work with your supervisor or team designee to determine alternatives.
  • Providing advice, usually involving the explanation and discussion of difficult information directly related to risk. Information and advice are exchanged with an audience which is typically knowledgeable in the subject area.
  • Applying analytical skills to interpret data and trends from various reporting and information systems, then adapting different techniques and methods to develop solutions for identified issues.
