About The Position

The Contract Negotiator / Analyst position at Thomson Reuters involves leading negotiations with customers, drafting and negotiating contracts, and providing risk management and compliance advice to business stakeholders. This role supports the sales team and requires a thorough understanding of customer contracts, products, and pricing models.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience of structuring, drafting, analyzing, and negotiating a wide range of sales contracts
  • Experience in a content, software and/or technology environment
  • Experience analyzing and negotiating commercial contracts with state and federal governmental agencies
  • Experience reviewing and responding to governmental RFPs/RFIs
  • General understanding of state and federal procurement laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills
  • Experience working with and advising a sales organization
  • Exceptional ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external business customers
  • Contract administration and compliance experience
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance customer interests with maintaining a good legal and fiscal position for the company

Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to requests for customer modifications to contracts for TR products
  • Negotiate directly with external customers from all market segments
  • Negotiate and support Master Services Agreements and other contracts
  • Review terms and conditions for Requests for Proposals, Invitations to Bid, and other informal bidding opportunities for government customers
  • Utilize multiple applications for contract generation and review of requested exceptions and contract modifications
  • Provide guidance in the resolution of contract issues and disputes
  • Provide contracting support to sales professionals
  • Draft contracts addenda and templates as needed
  • Contribute know-how to the group's Knowledge Management initiatives
