About The Position

This person will be working on a variety of contracts for renovation projects and should have experience from planning, design phase, construction and close-out. May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, and other assigned staff (including oversight of subcontractors).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required. Architecture, engineering, construction management or related field is preferred.
• Must have at least five (5) years’ experience, within the last eight (8) years, providing construction/project management consulting services, including repair, maintenance or refurbishment of existing governmental and institutional-type facilities.
• Journey-level Job Order Contract administrative experience in a government agency.
• Thorough understanding of contracts documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are required.
• Strong communication and team management skills, and the the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intense environment.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, including advanced Excel skills and cloud-based management software.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization of government facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Develop project plans to manage vendors and execute projects with established milestones, routine oversight of project execution in the field, and consistent stakeholder coordination.
• Meet with the client’s customer representative to clarify, define and develop scope of work, budget and schedule requirements.
• Work Order Management: Coordinates the development of contracts and work orders by developing detailed scopes of work, Requests for Proposals, reviewing contractor proposals, and processing work order packages.
• Provide contract management and administration to assist to solicit, issue, and manage Job Order Contracts and other contract delivery methods.
• Identify and resolve problems and issues before they become critical and keep the client and the customer department informed of on-going project status, including cost, schedule, and other issues. The Project manager is responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of the project(s), and responsible for schedule, cost, and customer approval.
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project or program-level schedules.
• Reporting: Provide weekly status reports for ISD leadership and County stakeholders.
• Other Related assignments as required.
