About The Position

This position is available to work from home in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington only. Will need to come onsite to Sacramento approximately quarterly. Is responsible for the oversight of all system and local contracts for goods and services. Responds to incoming requests for contracts from across the health system, triages and prioritizes the requests, and then executes according to Sutter Health standards. Develops and executes negotiation strategies to consolidate business with preferred supplier partners while collaborating with internal customers and stakeholders to identify/limit risk, improves financial outcomes, and reduces variation across Sutter Health. Ensures that the contracting process in aligned with state and federal regulatory requirements. Must work M-F 8-5 Pacific time. 100% remote and onsite estimated quarterly.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to accomplish tasks at hand within the time lines
  • Ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator and or participant.
  • Creative problem solver with a demonstrated ability to communicate specific barriers to the contracting process with recommended solutions.
  • Oral and written communication skills that are concise, and actionable.
  • Proficient in the use of all aspects and software provided in the Microsoft Office suite including, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to run analytical reports to determine historical usage using Lawson and Cognos.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's: Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • 5 years recent relevant experience
