The Contract Manager II role within the Strategic Sourcing Group at TD is a pivotal position that involves working closely with the business and TD Legal to negotiate, draft, and provide ongoing support for various contracts. These contracts include outsourcing agreements, managed services, statements of work, and software licensing agreements, all while adhering to the templates and procedures established by TD Legal. This role requires a highly seasoned professional with substantial knowledge and expertise in contract review and negotiations, as well as a comprehensive understanding of vendor management and legal requirements. In this position, the Contract Manager II will integrate knowledge of the enterprise sub-function's or business line's overarching strategy to develop solutions that span multiple functions or operations. The role involves interpreting internal and external business challenges and the industry environment, recommending courses of action and best practices to enhance products, processes, or services. The Contract Manager II will act as a technical expert, leading cross-functional teams or projects that require significant resources, risk, or complexity. They will independently manage end-to-end functional programs and solve complex problems, often leading others in the development of new solutions. The Contract Manager II will also support the Sourcing team and business executives by providing recommendations to optimize TD agreements and ensuring adherence to contractual standards. They will organize, influence, and manage a portfolio of contracts while navigating medium and low-risk business arrangements through TD's contract management process. This role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships within and across various business lines, ensuring alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements, and maintaining a culture of risk management and control. Overall, this position is crucial for ensuring that TD's sourcing programs and policies are well-managed, compliant with internal and external requirements, and aligned with business priorities.
