The role will be supporting the National Security Space Line of Business. If you’re interested in working with our team supporting some of the most dynamic and nationally critical programs in the company, and you are an enthusiastic, self-starter, eager to learn in a dynamic environment, come join our team. This role will offer you the following daily challenges: Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the company as interface with customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and customer concerns related to company performance. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices within company. Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college
  • Ability to problem solve, identify issues and develop effective dynamic solutions.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to hand multiple complex, widely-varied assignments
  • Ability to collaboratively and effectively interface and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven effectiveness operating with a multi-disciplinary mindset
  • Must be proficient in the use of a computer and Microsoft applications such as Word or Excel or Power Point

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Government contracting experience including negotiating and administering a variety of contract types including, IDIQ, T&M, Fixed Price and Cost Type contracts
  • Knowledge of DFARs/FAR regulations
  • Ability to engage in routine and unique problems/ issues to help develop and drive creative business solutions for complex contracts
  • NCMA Certification
  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
  • 2+ years of contracts management experience
