Contract Lifecycle Manager, EY Law - Legal Managed Services (Contract Lifecycle Management) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1688221), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Indianapolis, IN. Work with clients to improve the performance of the legal function and add value to the overall organization. Assist companies and assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their corporate legal functions through the improvement of people, process and technology. Provide business advice and assist clients in transforming their legal processes from analysis phase to full implementation. Communicate independently with the client’s business and legal stakeholders with a view of building/strengthening relationship. Understand and work within client specific processes and negotiation strategies. Work with a team to ensure service delivery in accordance with the agreed project scope, ensuring overall client satisfaction and compliance with SLAs, and actively identifying client needs and ways to fulfill those needs. Contribute to and lead regular communication forums involving internal and external stakeholders. Work to understand, implement and facilitate use of Contract Management technologies appropriate to client needs. Innovate and improve upon current processes and techniques including in relation to workflow, time and knowledge management. Facilitate reporting via daily/weekly/monthly metrics packs to internal and external project stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert on client process, playbooks, fallback positions, and general contracting matters, under the guidance of the client’s general counsel’s office. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Operations, Tax, Law, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Operations, Tax, Law, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
  • Must have 4 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: law firm or in-house with a large multinational corporation.
  • Must have 4 years of combined experience managing a procurement contracting operations team, including balancing workloads, performance analysis, and continuous improvement identification and implementation.
  • Must have 4 years of combined experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating medium to high procurement contracts.
  • Must have 4 years of experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management tools, including initial implementation.
  • Must have 4 years of experience analyzing and issue spotting contract structures.
  • Must have 4 years of combined contract negotiation experience across transactions on both the buy and sell side, identifying when appropriate escalation to client legal, and experience communicating with client in-house counsel and subject matter experts.
  • Must have 4 years of combined mobilization experience in the following: • initial build of client playbooks and negotiation guides, including analyzing existing contracts and playbooks;  • identifying substantive and material changes in existing contract terms to prepare negotiation guides; and  • leading workshops to support the creation of contracts operations artifacts.
  • Must have 4 years of combined experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating transactional contracts, including procurement and sale of services, content and products of the supply chain.
  • Must have 2 years of experience developing and mentoring junior team members and supervising contracting operations teams.
  • Must have 1 year of experience managing legal contract engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.
  • Must hold at least one of the following certification/accreditation: Juris Doctor; Project Management Professional (PMP); Masters degree in Business Administration (Business, Finance, Economics, Operations); Accredited paralegal certification/License (NALA/NFPA); Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; PMI Agile Certified Practitioner; UI/UX Design Specialization; Certified Scrum Professional Certification (CSPC); Certified SAFe Professional; Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP); Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP); Certified Management Accountant (CMA); Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM); Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Professional Certification; AIPMM Certified Product Manager; Certification in Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA); World Commerce and Contracting Certification.
  • Requires domestic travel up to 15% to serve client needs.
