About The Position

We are seeking a detail oriented individual who has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to meet required deadlines. You will thrive in a complex and collaborative environment where you can work under limited supervision, yet, be part of a larger team striving to meet the needs of our subgrantees. This position is responsible for the complete grant process. This includes searching for, receiving, and acting on notices of federal grant opportunities, submitting applications, soliciting, and awarding subgrants, monitoring program and financial progress, and reporting both to the federal government. Professional services work includes (but is not limited to) negotiating contracts, processing invoices, creating, and monitoring contracts, grants, and other purchases of goods and service agreements. Accounting and technical support duties include (but are not limited to) independent processing of payments (invoices, grants, and purchase orders).

Requirements

  • A six (6) year combination of education and/or professional experience in contract or grant administration.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing grant applications, developing the budget component of the grant applications, monitoring the grant spend, and assisting sub-recipients as needed to enable them to complete their proposals for sub-awards.
  • Writing new Requests for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Writing contracts and memorandums of agreement.
  • Providing information and assistance to providers, grantees, and staff.
  • Prepare, code, and submit invoices for processing.
  • Verifies source documents for accuracy, completeness, authorization, and invoice coding.
  • Monitors budget balances, identifies issues in order to inform and support program managers and accounting partners.
  • Reviewing status reports from sub-recipients and filing required reports to the federal grantor agencies.
  • Preparing grant applications, developing the budget component of the grant applications, monitoring the grant spend, and assisting sub-recipients as needed to enable them to complete their proposals for sub-awards.
