Requirements

• Must be 21 years of Age.
• High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalency (DD214 with honorable discharge will be acceptable).
• A minimum of 3 years Law enforcement, Military Police, or Armed Detention Officer experience with a Federal, State, or local municipality. Veterans welcome.
• Valid Carry permit, annual firearms qualification.
• Act 235.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed escorts of inmates traveling to, during and from off-site medical visits within Philadelphia County.
• The secure custody of all inmates during medical appointments.
• Furnishing the necessary personnel to provide for the protection and safekeeping of those inmates.
• Secure custody always requires physical control of the inmate. The physical control of the inmates by the contractor shall be sufficient to prevent escape.
• Maintain constant control over, and direct visual observation of the inmate.
