Join TMG Global as a Contract Desktop Technician and play a critical role in delivering high-impact IT infrastructure projects. In this role, you will collaborate directly with project managers, network engineers, and field technicians to execute device deployments, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and support IT refresh initiatives. PROJECT DETAILS

Project: Switch Warehouse Refresh
Location: Mount Juliet, TN
Start Date: April 16, 2026
End Date: April 19, 2026
Pay: $38hr
Project Duration
This is a short-term, high-impact contract project (April 16 – April 19, 2026) with a strong possibility of extension into the following weekend for top-performing technicians based on project demands.
Training: Paid training on Tuesday, April 14 (remote login required)
Schedule:
Day 1: Standard business hours
Remaining days: Evening/overnight shifts (after 6:00 PM, 8–10 hour shifts)
Team Size: 3 technicians

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in: Desktop support / IT support
• 3–5+ years of experience in: Network deployments or infrastructure projects
• 3–5+ years of experience in: Hardware troubleshooting and installations
• Strong knowledge of: Windows OS and device configuration
• Strong knowledge of: Networking fundamentals (switches, cabling, optics)
• Strong knowledge of: Low-voltage systems
• Experience with: Cable management and labeling standards
• Experience with: IT asset tracking and documentation
• Comfortable working in warehouse or industrial environments
• Must be comfortable working on a lift with team members
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Laptop (for deployment tracker & checklist access)
• Label maker
• Electric power drill (for switch removal/installation)
• Low-voltage snips
• Electrical tape
• Sharpie marker
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed
• Ability to work evening/overnight shifts
• Must be able to lift equipment and work in active deployment environments

Responsibilities

• Perform network switch installations and replacements
• Execute cable labeling and organization
• Insert and configure network optics
• Connect and route cables according to project specifications
• Support desktop/laptop deployment, imaging, and configuration
• Assist with hardware troubleshooting and technical support
• Maintain accurate deployment tracking and asset documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on project execution
• Follow safety protocols, including working on lifts when required
