Discovery Senior Living is seeking an experienced Contract Coordinator to support the Legal Department in managing the full contract lifecycle across the enterprise. This senior-level role serves as the primary point of contact for contract intake, coordination, review (under attorney supervision), execution, archiving, and lifecycle tracking. The Contract Coordinator will administer and support the Company's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, maintain contract templates and repositories, manage renewals, and support enterprise-level contract initiatives including due diligence for strategic transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong contract management experience, hands-on CLM expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with attorneys and business stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for intake of new contracts across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate the distribution of contracts to attorneys based on contract type, complexity, and established workflows.
  • Perform general contract review under attorney supervision to ensure alignment with Company standards and approved templates.
  • Complete standardized contract forms for new vendors and business partners.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for contract execution and archiving, ensuring all fully executed agreements are accurately filed, indexed, and easily retrievable.
  • Administer and support the Company's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, including organization, metadata accuracy, and user access.
  • Ensure all newly executed contracts are uploaded into the CLM system in accordance with Legal Department standards.
  • Lead efforts to collect, organize, and ingest legacy and existing contracts into the CLM system or contract repository.
  • Manage and maintain the Company's contract form and template repository, including version control and coordination with attorneys on approved updates.
  • Track contract lifecycles, including key dates, expirations, and renewal deadlines; coordinate with internal stakeholders to support timely renewals, amendments, or terminations.
  • Support enterprise-level contract projects, including organizing and preparing contracts for due diligence related to strategic transactions (e.g., acquisitions, dispositions).
  • Respond to contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and serve as a liaison between the Legal Department and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of contract management processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal departments to ensure contracts are processed efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with Company policies.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of direct contract management or contract coordination experience in a corporate or enterprise environment required.
  • Experience supporting a Legal Department and working directly with attorneys strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts and legal documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with attorneys, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of contract structures, terms, and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor agreements, renewals, and expirations.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of contracts while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to sit and use hands for computer and document work.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM) certification preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, real estate, or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
