This role will be expected to perform in-depth financial analysis and work with both internal and external parties, including Big-4 audit firms, to confirm McKesson’s contractual compliance with customer agreement financial terms. The position will initiate continual process improvements to support increased demands for financial analytics driven by a greater complexity and customization in pricing and rebate offerings to customers and changes in McKesson’s business. In addition, the person will partner with Generic and Brand Rebate teams, Sales, Program Management, Technology and FP&A teams in achieving excellent service to our internal and external customers. Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 4+ years combined experience in audit, accounting, finance, FP&A, or similar experience
  • 3+ years of related professional experience with a medium to large size company
  • SAP or other large ERP experience
  • Snowflake, SQL and / or Power BI
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel (v-lookups, pivots, functions)
  • Attention to details and professional skepticism
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate results clearly (written and verbal); translate numbers into stories
  • Self-motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects (1-2 large projects and 3 small to medium in scope at any one given time) to successful completion

Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to mitigate company risk by assisting with contract reviews, risk-based internal business reviews, and analysis related to contract interpretation, process review, financial analysis, and dispute support.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze controls and analytical tools that support initiatives to reduce profit leakage and reputational risk with customers, enhance financial performance, and improve business processes and customer relationships.
  • Assist with compliance with accounting policies, financial statement audits, internal audits, and SOX requirements, and support timely communication with the US Pharmaceutical Controllership function.
  • Analyze contract audit rights and assist in the preparation of audit documentation and materials to support audit defense activities.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Solutions team on analytical tools, enhancements, and data improvements to help improve efficiency and quality within the compliance organization; support adoption of new tools as directed.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities by preparing analyses and documentation to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting related to customer contracts.
  • Perform analyses to help ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with FP&A, legal, pricing, audit, tax, and other departments by providing data, analysis, and reporting to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementations by documenting processes, testing changes, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and ongoing professional development.
